Your privacy

Privacy Policy

How Ask Astara® collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

01

Who we are

Ask Astara® provides psychic medium consultations, energy healing, coaching and related private sessions. This policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, stored and protected when you use this website or book an appointment.

If you have any question about this policy, or wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact Ask Astara at Askastara@aol.co.uk.

02

The information we collect

When you book an appointment, we collect the details you provide: your full name, email address and telephone number, together with the service you choose, your appointment date and time, and the amount paid.

We also keep a record of the agreements you confirm before payment (the Booking Terms & Conditions, the entertainment disclaimer and, where applicable, your early-service acknowledgements), including the policy version you accepted. This is evidence of what you agreed to.

When you contact us by email, we keep your message and contact details so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

When you register interest in a workshop, we collect your name, email address and whether you separately chose to receive news and updates. That choice is optional and is not required to register your interest.

If you are given an account to manage the booking diary, we hold your sign-in details and booking administration activity for that purpose.

We do not collect special category data, and we do not collect information about you from other sources.

03

Payments

All payments are taken securely through PayPal. Your payment card or bank details are handled by PayPal and are never seen or stored by Ask Astara.

We receive confirmation of your payment from PayPal (for example, the amount and transaction reference) so that we can confirm your appointment and deal with refunds or disputes. PayPal also processes your information under its own privacy policy, which you can read on the PayPal website.

04

How we use your information

We use your booking details to arrange, confirm and deliver your appointment, and to contact you about it — for example, to send your booking confirmation. This is necessary for the contract between us.

We keep records of your bookings, payments and the agreements you confirmed so that we can meet our legal obligations, handle refunds, cancellations and any dispute, and keep accurate business accounts.

We use your contact details to reply to messages you send us.

We use workshop registration details to record your enquiry and contact you about the workshop you expressed interest in. Other news and marketing updates require your separate consent, which you may withdraw by contacting us.

We will not use your details to send marketing messages without your consent, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

05

Who else sees your information

Your information is shared only with the providers who help us run the website, booking diary and email service, and with PayPal as described above. They process your information only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their services.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example in connection with a legal claim or a lawful request from a public authority.

06

How your information is protected and stored

Your information is stored securely, and access is limited to Ask Astara and the providers described above. Sign-in accounts are protected, and only authorised people can view the booking diary.

We keep booking, payment and consent records only as long as we need them: long enough to deliver your appointment, handle any refund or dispute, and meet tax, accounting and consumer-law requirements. Records are then deleted or anonymised.

07

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct information that is wrong; ask us to delete information (in some circumstances); restrict or object to certain uses of your information; and ask us to transfer your information to you or another provider.

To exercise any of these rights, email Askastara@aol.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.

08

Other information

This website uses only the essential cookies and browser storage needed for the site, the booking diary and sign-in to work. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Bookings are for clients aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

This policy relates only to your personal information. The nature of our services, cancellations and refunds are set out in the Booking Terms & Conditions.

We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always published on this page.
